EHS Library Information

Listing of Library/Media Resources

The listing of all Library/Media Resources can be found under the files button. The information on the World Book and Gale Collection can be found below.

Library WEB ACCESS

To access the EHS Library Collection, go to http://library.aps.edu/common/welcome.jsp?site=138

We have Destiny, a library online catalog that you can access from home. Make a bookmark and your students can access our books and edited websites from home. This will help them find information for their projects and they can check out books and videos the next school day.

BE SURE YOUR STUDENT HAS A BOOK!

We are encouraging all students to have an outside reading book at all times.  They need to read when they have finished their class work, or a test so that other students are not disturbed, as well as, enlarge their academic horizons.  We have a 31,000 volume library purchased for our high school curriculum and with our students’ interests in mind.

Eldorado Library Hours

7:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. (daily)

School Supply Store - Media Center

Did you know. . .

School supplies are available for purchase in the Library.  Ms. Feagler keeps a well stocked “School Store” with almost any school supply your student might need:  from the basic paper, spirals,  pens, pencils to graph paper, master locks, poster board, and report folders to name a few.  Be sure your student knows these are available for purchase at the circulation desk in the library.  There is a poster listing some of the prices, but the items are not on display and must be asked for.

LIBRARY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Our Librarian is in need of parent volunteers for as little or as much time as you may have available to help out in the library.  She has a variety of tasks such as shelving books, processing new books, or working at the circulation desk.

The library is open from 7:15am—3pm.  If you are interested in helping out call  296-4871 ext. 1250.

GALE COLLECTIONS---References for the Entire Family

The username and password for the Gale collections is listed below; Gale is a large database of reference, newspaper and magazine articles, and critical essays on Opposing Viewpoints. These databases can be used for current events in all subject areas. These are NOT Internet sites; they are digitized printed, edited articles and reference works. The databases cover all academic curricular topics, including medical and technical topics.
