Eldorado High School Mass Email List: -- Please contact the school to be added to the list.

EHS Counselors

Please visit the Counseling page of the EHS website.  Our Counselors provide a wealth of information on their page!

A student's individual counselor is designated according to the first letter of the last name of the student. Appointments are strongly advised over walk-ins.

Leaving Campus Early/Returning to school from appointments

Parents picking up their children from school MUST come to the office to sign them out through the grade level secretary. You must show ID--school policy. Freshmen (9th graders) must be checked-out in the Freshman Academy building (N. of Media Center)

Unless sent home by the nurse, any student who leaves campus early or who returns to campus during the school day must check in/out with his/her grade-level secretary.  To expedite this process, parents/guardians should:

  1. Call grade level secretary, indicating the time your student should be in the office to leave with parent, or if the student will be driving him/herself what time they will need to leave campus.  In the latter case an off campus pass must be issued to the student.

TO EXPEDITE THINGS--PLEASE CALL IN AHEAD OF TIME, allowing at least a couple hours (PREFERABLY FIRST THING IN THE MORNING).  Getting a student out of class may take longer than you expect; please arrange ahead of time so that you can arrive to your scheduled appointment on time.
  2. When your student is returning from a doctors appointment, a doctors note from their office that is dated and time stamped should be presented to the grade level secretary.  Students who do not check in/out through the office will be counted unexcused.

It is the responsibility of the parent and the student to keep track of attendance.  A calendar or chart should be used to record dates, times, and reasons for all absences.

REMINDER there is NO PARKING or WAITING to pick up students after school on Tracy Street or La Charles Street near the EHS footbridge SE of our campus.  It has been brought to our attention by the neighborhood association that parked cars on those streets from 2:10pm to 2:45pm cause a safety hazard, as it is a blind S-curve.  Dropping off in the morning is not a problem as parents drop and go, but during the afternoon hours when you park and wait it causes congestion and is ILLEGAL.  YOU CAN BE TICKETED and more importantly it is a SAFETY ISSUE.  PLEASE DO NOT PARK THERE. Enter the school grounds to pick up your students.

11300 Montgomery Blvd. NE
Albuquerque, NM 87111-2602

We are on the southeast corner of Juan Tabo and Montgomery. However, there is a small strip mall on the very SE corner with our school property bordering it on both sides.

PARKING/VISITING: During school hours, enter from Juan Tabo. It is the first traffic light just south of the traffic light at Montgomery and Juan Tabo. Turn east into the drive, going over 3 speed bumps, turning left after that 3rd speed bump into the teachers/visitor lot. This is the lot where one drops off and picks up students.

Please do not park in a numbered spaces as they are reserved for teachers. Some teachers come and go in the day as they work at several schools.

Visitor parking is the northernmost row and is marked "Visitor Parking" with signs.  If all these spaces are full, you can park in the parallel spaces on the east side of the teacher lot, or the southernmost area of this lot in non-numbered spaces.

The gates to enter the school property are open before school and after school on the Montgomery Street side. They are open on the weekends as well.

EHS Academic Planner/Calendar

Your student received an Academic Planner/Calendar during the first week of school. IT SHOULD BE KEPT and is the only copy they will receive during the full school year. It has very VALUABLE information as to EHS Policies, as well as Day-by-day Calendar listing of important school events, sports events, testing dates, school holidays, etc.  Of course since it is printed in the summer prior to the school year, some events may not make it on to the calendar and some events may be subject to date changes.

This same calendar is posted by month on the homepage. CLICK the month (e.g. August) on the monthly calendar to see a large calendar view.

APS Athletics Physical Form

For any student to participate in APS athletics, they must have an athletic physical form completed by a physician each school year and returned  to our Athletic Trainer, Ms Missy Archibeck.

Forms are available in the administration office;  they are also available for download HERE.

Attending Student Assemblies

It is possible for parents to attend the student assemblies held in the gym.  See the school calendar handed out to each student at the beginning of the year for assembly dates and times.  Don't forget to sign into the Administration Office and get a visitor's badge before you attend the assembly.

School Supply Store--Media Center - - a limited amount of school supplies can be purchased from our Librarian.  Some basic school supplies are also available free of charge through the EAGLE CLOSET.  Please contact Principal Sam Chavez for these items.
