Interested in joining Cheerleading?

Thank you for your interest in becoming an Eldorado Cheerleader!  There is no prior experience necessary to try out!  We are looking for dedicated, hard working, enthusiastic individuals. The ability to do a back handspring is great but not necessary to be part of our team. 

Prior to tryouts, all interested athletes and parents will need to sign the Eldorado Cheer Constitution  and complete and upload the required forms (which includes a physical) to Dragonfly.  If you do not have a physical dated after April 1, 2025, you will need to get one to participate.  Nextcare Urgent Care is an NMAA partner.   Shelby Manno, a pediatric Nurse practitioner at Duke City Pediatric Primary Care (11505 Montgomery Blvd 87111, phone number to call is 505-308-1586) has told us that if any athletes need sports physicals they have same day availability.  Athletes have also said they have used After Hours Pediatrics.

Clinic will be held on Wednesday, August 13 and Thursday, August 14 from 4 - 5 pm.  Please arrive in shorts, comfortable shirt, hair in ponytail, with athletic or cheer shoes.  Bring your signed Eldorado Cheer Constitution as well. 

Tryouts will be held Friday August 15 at 3:45 pm.  

If chosen to be a member of the team, you will be enrolled in cheer class.  There will also be a parent meeting on Wednesday, August 20 at 6pm in the EHS Lecture Hall.  If you have any questions, please email Coach Boyden at boyden_j@aps.edu.  We look forward to meeting you! Go Eagles!

Dragonflymax instructions

  •  Go to the Eldorado Athletics Website and Click on Dragon Fly Sign Up.

  • Follow the prompts.

  • PRIOR TO CLINIC/TRYOUTS, be sure to upload the following to 2025-26 Girl's Cheerleading - Varsity:

    1. Athletic Participation Consent Form.  This form is completed on Dragonfly.

    2. Emergency Information, Medical History, Physical dated April 1, 2025 or later, Medical Eligibility, and Consent to Treat  

    3. APS Athletic Code of Conduct

    4. You will also need to complete and upload the Concussion Awareness Course through NFHS.
