All Things Freshmen!

Eldorado High School is pleased to welcome the Class of 2024!

Ehs peer tutoring/ other tutoring resources available

Eldorado Peer Tutoring hosted by members of the EHS National Honor Society is a completely virtual tutoring resource for Freshmen and Sophomore students in math and science. The goal is to give our students academic support to help them succeed in Math and Science while offering individualized tutoring to address each student’s needs.

So how does this work? Students, you will need to fill out this google form: EHS Peer Tutoring Once your form is submitted, you will be paired with a tutor who will contact you through your APS student email account. You need to submit the online form only once. Going forward, you will work with your tutor to schedule on an as needed basis.

We are thrilled that Eldorado is able offer academic support to our students.  If you have any questions, please feel free to email

Freshmen interest inventory

Please have your 9th grader fill out the interest inventory so that we can best match them with their EHS buddy.

Computer/login issues?

For students experiencing any technical difficulties please call the Service Desk at (505) 830-8080. There are staff on hand from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. to help with online access, ParentVue, StudentVue, Gmail and any other technical complications you may be having.

Student leaders have created a new "freshman buddy" program called Freshman Flight Training that is all about creating friendships between older and younger peers. The EHS Buddy system will center around building connections, networking, and knowledge sharing with the incoming freshmen. Upperclassmen buddies hope to make them feel welcome, answer questions, and help them navigate EHS culture (both academically and socially).

To access the SOAR Day Virtual event, click on the link above at 9:00am. You will need to have the ZOOM application installed on your computer or phone to access the breakout sessions. Once the breakout sessions begin, click on the sessions in which you are interested. Because you will have the Zoom application installed, you will be able to join the sessions.

Soar Day is a one-of-a-kind welcome experience designed for incoming 9th graders to EHS. It is created by upperclassmen students and staff to allow freshmen a glimpse into their new school setting. This year, freshmen will get to see their campus and meet some of their teachers, administrators, counselors and coaches through a virtual scene. We can't wait to meet our new  freshmen and welcome them into our Eagle family! Just because we have to physically distance, does not mean we have to be socially distant. See you on Soar Day!

Chromebook distribution, tuesday, august 4

Dear Students, Parents/Guardians:

Welcome back, Eagles.  As you know, the start of this year will be different than any other.  In preparation for online learning, ALL students will need an APS issued chromebook.  If you received an APS device at the end of the spring semester, you are one step ahead of your classmates.

For everyone else, we will begin distribution next week.  Please note this is by date, time, grade level and last name (see below).

Students must access campus from Eagle Trail at Juan Tabo.  Please drive through the east parking lot and meet us at the ROTC area on the north side of campus.  Please remain in your vehicle and wear a mask while interacting with our staff.  We must verify your identity.  Your high school or middle school ID from last year works best because it has a barcode.  We can also verify with a driver's license or StudentVue on your phone, but this will slow down the process.

Distribution Schedule:

Tuesday, August 4th - 9th Grade Students

  • 7:30-10:30 – A-L
  • 10:30-1:30 – M-Z.                                                                                                                                                                                                                  *If students should experience technical difficulties, please call our APS SERVICE DESK at 505 830-8080.
