PSAT

PSAT Exam: will be given on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024 to ALL sophomores (free of charge, no need to sign up). Any juniors who want to sign up, follow these instructions. Registration runs from 7/31 - 8/23/24 and cost is $25* for juniors. Late registration: 8/24 - 28 with additional $5 fee. *Exception: if you qualify for Free or Reduced Lunch, PSAT cost is $5. If you believe you qualify for the fee reduction, contact Ms. Harmon before registering.

Why should juniors take the PSAT?

  • 1) It gives the most up-to-date picture of where you are likely to score on the actual SAT®. This will assist you in determining where you wish to spend your time and effort in preparing for the SAT® exam.
  • 2) As a junior, you are entered as a part of the National Merit Scholar Qualifying Test (NMSQT®), a competition that awards some top scoring students across the nation with scholarships.
  • 3) Another chance at a practice exam is always a good idea. This will help you to get a feel for the actual exam, which helps to reduce testing anxiety.

Please review this PSAT exam flyer for additional information on registering for the PSAT/NMSQT exam.  Questions? Contact Mrs. Harmon: jessica.harmon@aps.edu.
